2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™

The city government of Salvador, through TRANSALVADOR and with the support of the World Cup Municipal Office – ECOPA – has developed a mobility plan in partnership with the State Government, through SEDUR and SECOPA, in order to bring greater comfort and security to everyone during the games of the 2014 FIFA World Cup™.

Two areas of restricted traffic were established in the surroundings of the Fonte Nova Arena:

  • 1st area: on Professora Anfrísia Santiago Street, between May 21 and June 11, 2014.
  • 2nd area: the region surrounding the Fonte Nova Arena on game days, starting 5 hours before the beginning of the game and ending 1 hour after the game ends. Except for Presidente Costa e Silva Avenue (Dike), which will be restricted starting at 8:00 PM on the day before the games.

The residents of the area surrounding the Fonte Nova Arena who need to access the restricted streets will be authorized for exclusive access of up to two automobiles per residence. Those who register will receive stickers which must be affixed to the windshield (frontal glass of the vehicle). To register, just click on the “Resident” section of this site.

It is important to plan your route in order to avoid delays and help facilitate mobility in the city.
